FSI is the world’s leading independent provider of polyurethane systems, technical support, equipment, and process support. In order to help their clients maintain a seamless supply of product, the manufacturer offers a service to monitor inventory levels, a cumbersome process when clients are spread over a wide area geographically. FSI’s leaders sought a way to remotely monitor product levels in client storage tanks in order to fulfill reorders and avoid delays and eliminate downtime for its clients.

ATB Technologies engaged in strategic conversations with FSI to understand their needs and goals. The team collaborated with FSI to develop a plan that could enhance FSI’s capabilities and ultimately lead to more growth for the manufacturer. Throughout these discussions and planning sessions, ATB established parameters that potential solutions would need to meet in order to fulfill FSI’s goals. The manufacturer needed a technology solution with a wireless connection that included a sonar component and had the ability to withstand chemicals in the storage tank. ATB researched solutions, coordinated demos of potential software and hardware solutions and helped FSI select a provider that met their needs and all of the established criteria components.

Based on FSI’s needs and criteria, ATB supported the selection of TankScan Wireless Tank Monitoring, a provider that offers monitoring solutions for tanks in the field, bulk storage tanks and tanks below ground. TankScan offers reporting back to FSI as well as FSI’s customers for transparency.

TankScan met all of FSI’s needs for remote monitoring and improved delivery service. The solution is lightweight, relatively inexpensive, easy to install and monitor, and is seamless for coordinating with all parties involved. ATB now handles the purchasing and technical support for TankScan on FSI’s behalf. What’s more, this solution has enabled FSI to magnify cost savings and efficiency, and enhance customer service and responsiveness.
